Newsletter 2009/10

 

Since 2003/04 the club has produced weekly match reports. From the start of the 2005/06 season this became a weekly newsletter, distributed during the season, containing match reports from each of the games played that weekend as well as other key information and a selection of adverts and offers.

Pub Golf | New Kit | Subs

 

Aloha!

 

The start of the 09/10 season is virtually upon us and its time for a quick welcome Tribune to get you all in the mood! There have been a few goings on since the beginning of September...

 

Firstly, the 2nd Annual Club Day took place which was, once again a resounding success, with over 30 new members being recruited to the club. This number continues to swell as more people are requesting to join via the website.

 

Secondly, subs are now due for all players. Your captains should raise this with you at the weekend - if they haven't already. Please hand in your subs form or cheque as soon as possible. Thanks in advacne for your co-operation!

 

Thirdly, the club has also launched new playing kit. The kit is now in stock and while you can play the coming season in your current kit if you choose the new kit will become compulsory for the start of the 2010/11 season. Of course, if you choose to buy the new kit before this Xmas then you will get it at a discounted price!

 

Finally, while there have been a few pre-season games played... plaudits go to the Mens 1s who saw of Banbury on penalty flicks in Round 1 of the HA Cup... unfortunately, they have now drawn current Cup holders Reading away who are filled to the brim with England internationals... that said... Cup matches are made for fairytayle upsets, so fingers crossed!

 

So, good luck to all playing this weekend... but before you go - there are some bits and pieces below that are worth noting...

Pub Crawl Starting at 7pm @ the Plough at the top of Lordship Lane, and down through East Dulwich. The idea is to play pub golf and each of the 9 pubs will be two holes . . itinerary, maps and score cards to be provided... free entry/involvement/fun... not free beers!

Club Kit

 

THD Launches New Club Kit...

 

New Home Shirt - Front New Home Shirt - Back

 

For the start of the new season Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club have launched a new kit. After 7 or so years the current club kit has a number of different 'versions' that means that many of the teams take to the pitch with a collection of different tops. In addition to the this the club wanted to ensure that there was official kit for both away matches and mixed games.

 

New Away Shirt - Front New Away Shirt - Back

 

The new kit will still continue to combine the best of the old Tulse Hill HC & the old Dulwich HC kit - therefor still featuring both red & green. The main changes will be that the women's sides will change green shorts/skirts to match the colour worn by the mens sides and the Mens 1s will no longer wear a different designed shirt to the rest of the club.

 

The new kit is optional for the 2009/10 season (although the old style kit is no longer being sold) and will become compulsory from the start of the 2010/11 season. In the meantime the kit is discounted until the end of 2009 to encourage people to make the switch as soon as possible. Any new players to the club will only have the option of purchasing the new kit.

 

In addition to the playing kit there is a range of other Tulse Hill & Dulwich branded clothing available too.

Subs are now due

 

Tulse Hill & Dulwich HC charges a single combined yearly subscription payable by monthly standing order. the subscription covers annual membership, training, match fees (not mixed matches) and hot teas. Payable by standing order, bank transfer or by cheque.

* If a player is both a Junior player for the main Club and a member of the Academy then their total fees payable will be equal to the Junior fee.
