Normally sitting in and around the top four - never quite promoted but always in the hunt for silverware via the play-offs - but last season the wheels came off a bit. A narrow brush with relegation saw the Tornados save themselves in the last few weeks of the season. The 08/09 season looks to be a little more serious as its more fun when you are winning!
The Tornados are also the retirement home where ex-skippers come to play after they've done their tour(s) of duty... which is why they have the most impressive management set up of any of the teams and it might also be why they are the undisputed Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club 'Social Team'! If you are at the bar chances are that you're behind one of the Tornados. They are always the first to a party and help to make the social side of the club live up to its legendary status. |
