Sports massage and injury rehabilitation
The purpose of sports massage is to help maintain normal muscle function in exercised muscles by improving circulation and therefore ensuring that muscles receive the nutrients that they require. Regular sports massage will therefore benefit anyone who participates in regular exercise.
For sports people who are injured or have experienced previous injury, a combination of sports massage, assisted stretching and exercise prescription is particularly beneficial both in aiding the healing process and preventing reoccurrence.
