We have enjoyed a lot of success in recent years, consistently finishing in the top 4 of the league and winning the cup in 2007 and therefore hope for more of the same in the 2008-09! However changes are afoot for the Women's 1st XI this year as several experienced players have somehow managed to find better things to do with their time (I find this strange as well), and so we will be welcoming new faces on board. We will hope for some tall hockey players, a girlfriend for Casement and a few youngsters so that those of us who are starting to creak slightly can retire soon to play golf on Saturday's instead. How this season will pan out remains to be seen, however can everyone please note that the Captain of the Titanic was also called EJ and we all know how that worked out... |
